Biography

Ms. Clifford is an administrative support professional for consultant organizations and government agencies with more than 25 years experience in record retention; configuration and project management; and technical support. Her special strengths are in organization / multi-tasking, managing and training personnel. She has an Associates of Science degree in Business Management from Aiken Technical College, Aiken, SC. As of March 2008, supports the US Department of Energy-Savannah River Operations Office/Salt Waste Processing Facility Project Office (SWPFPO) as the lead administrative assistant to the SWPFPO Federal Project Director and Deputy Federal Project Director in organizing the oversight and management of the staff. The SWPF project is to design and construct a $1.3B facility that will process the high-activity radioactive slat waste (over 34 million gallons) currently stored in underground tanks at SRS. Ms. Clifford also serves as the Salt Waste Processing Facility Document Control Administrator (SWPFDCA) to track and manage SWPF deliverables, documents, and photographs. These responsibilities include: coordination of technical reviews by the DOE SWPF Integrated Project Team; assist in preparation of responses to government and public requests( i.e., Defense Nuclear Facility Safety Board, DOE-HQ, Citizens Advisory Board, independent review groups, etc.) for SWPF; development, enhancement, and management of databases containing SWPF documents; and support tracking assessments in the DOE’s Savannah River Integrated Management Total Accountability System (SIMTAS).

Other related government experience includes work for the Tanks Focus Area (TFA) on DOE-SR’s Salt Processing Project. Her role was to support of over four years the TFA Technology Development Manager in $30M technology development and continued assistance on the oversight of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contractor for design of the Salt Waste Processing Facility (SWPF). She was the editor of the Salt Waste Processing Facility research and development/technology development reports from Fiscal Year 2002 to Fiscal Year 2007 and co-author of the Salt Waste Processing Facility Project Technology Development Program Plan: Fiscal Year 2007. US Department of Energy–National Energy Technology by organizing, word processing, and publication of the Salt Processing Project Research and Development Plan, Savannah River Site Salt Processing Project Research and Development Summary Report, Savannah River Site Salt Processing Project Down Selection Decision Analysis Summary Report, and other draft reports for DOE.
